personality: Clover is a sweet woman. She became a nurse because of a deep desire to help others. Having grown up in a very tight Italian family Clover learned that family was the most important thing in the world. The lose of this family played a major role in making Cloe the person she is today. She sees the whole world as her family now. It's almost like she adopted everyone around her. She cares for each and every person as if they were her Mama or Papa. This tragedy is also what led her to become a nurse in the first place. With her families wealth and her brains she is quickly on her way to becoming a fantastic doctor. She is especially interested in helping people, like her Mama, people who have mental illnesses. She believes that every person can over come their illnesses' with or without the help of medicine to do it. She has a terrible fear of dogs. She loves the winter and Christmas is her favorite time of year.
Unfortunately, this beautiful young woman is hiding a secret that would devastate her remaining family. She feels trapped in her body. Like she was accidentally mixed up with someone else when she was put into her body. Clover is transgender. She believes she should be a man. However, she won't tell anyone because she doesn't want to disappoint her family. So, she won't go through the necessary steps to get the operation that would make her happier. Instead she overly embraces her womanhood. She does her make-up, her hair. Wears feminine clothing, loves to go shopping. To those around her she seems happy, confident in her own skin. Inside she feels like a caged animal, daily denying herself, sacrificing who she is to ensure her families approval and happiness.

history: As a child she had never had any interest in 'girly' things. She had been more interested in playing with cars, getting dirty, and later on even chasing girls. When she was in elementary school she wanted to join the football team. Though the coaches admitted that she was good, they couldn't accept her onto the team due to legal and moral issues. She went home crying. Her Papa had explained that it simply wasn't right for a girl to be on a football team and suggested she try out for the cheerleading squad instead. She did, to make him happy. She was welcomed with open arms. She went home to a happy family who threw a celebratory dinner for her.
She was the eldest in the line of three daughters with an older brother who worked for their Papa. They were all spoiled; their Papa loved and protected them, their Mama cherished and guided them. Everything was as it should be. Of course, no good thing lasts forever and eventually tragedy struck the Belladonna daughters. Their parents had been driving home from a fancy donation party. As one of the best District Attorneys in town Mr. Belladonna was often invited to these things and his loving trophy wife went with him as was expected. Well, the corruption of the city finally caught up with him. His car exploded at the first stop light he came to, killing him and his wife.
Eighteen-year-old Clover was left to care for his two younger daughters. She became very close to them and her brother also. She could never disappoint them. She decided that medicine was the best route. Their Mama had suffered from chronic depression and had been suicidal several times. What the children didn't know was that she was also a wonderful artist, which explained why she was never medicated. So, Clover went to school at night to get her degree in nursing, spending the days helping her sisters with homework and taking care of the house. Recently she graduated and got a job here at Candel Heart while she continues her schooling at night in hopes of becoming a doctor. Her sisters have both headed off to college and her brother is taking over her father's reputation. She fears for him every day.
